Mango thokku / maangai thokku
Good evening everyone, I want to share a recipe with you all which has all six types of taste. So i go with this one. Actually this recipe is introduced to me by my colleague when i was pregnant. I am a mango lover so this made me to do😂. Ok now lets go for our recipe.
Ingredients:
Raw Mango - 1 medium sizeJaggery - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - a pinch
Roasted fenugreek powder - a pinch
Red chilli powder - 1 1/2tsp - 2 tsp
Salt - as needed
Asafoetida - a pinch
Seaseme oil - 2 tblspn
Mustard - 1 tsp
Method:
1. Peel off the skin of the mango and grate it.
2. Marinate it with required salt, turmeric and chilli powder. Leave it for 20mints. It will ooze out little water that will prevent sticking in pan while frying.
3. Heat a heavy bottomed pan and temper it with oil and mustard seeds and asafoetida.
4. Then add the mixture and fry it for 15minutes. Don't forgot to mix it for every 2 minutes. Otherwise it will stick to the pan.
5. Finally add jaggery and roasted fenugreek powder. Then it will ooze out oil this is the correct time to switch off the stove. Cool down and store it in a air tight container.
Note:
* It goes a well side dish with all tiffen items but my favourite is curd rice.
* while using take a clean dry spoon.
* store it in a fridge and use it for 1 month. If you are keep it in outside it will be good only for 3 days.
